Mandam Yog is a technique of yoga, which entails slow, rhythmic, continuous and mindful movements to improve flexibility, stamina, stability and holistic well being. The focus is on bringing full consciousness and coordination with the mind and body.
In general we are not as relaxed as we should be because most of the time we are not aware of it. Our body typically functions on a stimulation and relaxation pattern, with these slow yogic exercises with awareness we recognize the stimulation and try to relax more than normal. As the mind starts recognizing every little change in the body, even the slightest stimulation, increased activity, areas of tension, it starts relaxing. Mandam yog helps us recognize the stress and tension, hence we are able to release it.
Mandam Yog can be done by all, from healthy individuals to physically sick to bed ridden people.
